Holy Hera, this story was pure brilliance!
From beginning to end, and all the magic in
between, The Rose was an addicting, fascinating and captivating read that lured
me inside the wondrous world conjured by the exceptionally talented mistress of
erotica, Tiffany Reisz.
Weaving Greek mythology with modern-day
characters, we experience the relationship between Lady Ophelia (Lia) Godwick -
daughter of Mona and Spencer Godwick from The Red - and the mysterious,
handsome stranger, August Bowman. Through the powers of an ancient relic,
gifted to Lia by her father, this couple embarked on several fantastical sexual
escapades set in the realm of Grecian gods. With each erotic adventure, Lia and
August grow closer, and like a beautiful rose, their love gloriously blossomed.

What I love the most about Reisz' romances, aside
from the hotter than Hades sexual scenes, is exploring the lives of her
colorful characters. Lia was such a lovable leading lady. An ambitious young
woman who's an "entrepreneur" of sorts, she was bright, comical,
strong-willed, cynical, and above all ~ a realist. Lia's views on all things
romance were tainted, courtesy of her first lover, who cruelly shattered her
heart. She was a total disbeliever of true love altogether, that is until
August magically inserted himself into her world. I savored every moment of
August's quest to break through Lia's impenetrable walls with the hope of
mending her heart and winning her affections.
