QUIET MAN ~ A Dream Man Novella by Kristen Ashley @KristenAshley68

These beautiful words whispered by the prophetic Kane "Tack" Allen at the end of Motorcycle Man are finally coming true for KA fans in her upcoming Dream Series. In this new spin-off, the Rock Chick and Dream Man worlds collide, as badass commandos from Mystery Man find their perfect dream women. The excitement begins with Quiet Man, a novella starring the lovable secondary characters Lottie McAlister (Rock Chick Rescue) and Mo Morrison (Mystery Man).

Lottie became a favorite from the moment she splashed onto the scene as Jet's baby sister in RC Rescue. Bold, sassy, and a bit mischievous, I totally adore this headlining stripper and beyond thrilled she's finally getting a chance at finding her very own happily ever after.

Here we see a mature Lottie who's ready to take on the next chapter of her life. She wants to fall in love with a Hot Bunch man, just like her Rock Chick sister. Unfortunately, they're all taken. Even though she's giving up hope of finding a dream man, nothing stops Lottie from moving on to plan the future she undoubtedly deserves. I love all her determination, fortitude, and spunk. And when faced with dangerous threats, she doesn't lose her cool. Instead, she's good with Smithie calling in one of Hawk Delgado's commandos. Enter Mo ~ the bodyguard who unknowingly changes Lottie's world for the better.

On the surface seemingly pragmatic and stoic, Mo Morrison's impressive yet stony demeanor was off-putting at first. He's a man of few words who takes his job of protecting Lottie very seriously, even more so as their relationship grows. The more Lottie broke through his barriers, the deeper I fell for this rough and rugged badass. Mo has so much more going for him than his brawn. He's sweet, loving, funny, patient, a bit vulnerable because of his past experiences and most importantly ~ has a huge heart. He's the perfect match for this feisty stripper and works hard to make all of her dreams come true. In turn, Lottie brought the best out of Mo. I truly loved them together. Their back and forth banter, as well as their intense chemistry, made this read deliciously enjoyable.

For a novella, there's a whole lot of story here to savor. Mo and Lottie's journey was an insta-love type of romance, that was also slow-burning as they took their sweet time falling in love. Happy to see the Nightingale crew, Hawk, Mitch, and Brock, along with meeting Mo's hot commando friends. I cannot wait to get my hands on their romances as Lottie plays cupid, match-making these boys with her stripper squad. All in all, Quiet Man is a definite MUST READ that was surprisingly low on angst and drama than I anticipated, but filled with oodles of passion and laughs. A great start to what I believe will be a fantastic series.

Free (Chaos #6) by Kristen Ashley @KristenAshley68

It was a bittersweet experience reading Free. As much as I longed for Rush's story, I knew it would sadly mark the end of this exceptional series. And with story-lines and tensions escalating across several novels, I was consumed with both excitement and fear re-entering Chaos's world, worried about the welfare of all the brothers, especially my man Tack. As expected, Kristen Ashley led me on another incredible journey as she penned a moving tale of undeniable love, vengeance, forgiveness, seeking redemption, finding salvation, and most importantly the unbreakable bonds of family, friendship and brotherhood.

I adored the young Cole "Rush" Allen in Motorcycle Man and fell completely in love with the man he became in Free. As promised, he matured to be every bit as sexy, growly, protective and possessive as his dad, but with a gentler side. Being his father's son, Cole possesses great wisdom. He's a man who immediately recognizes what he wants, and will stop at nothing to seize it.

True to his character's name, Rush quickly falls for the spirited woman who caught his eye and wastes no time in claiming Rebel Stapleton's heart. All in all, Rush was the ideal swoon-worthy hero and a total dream man.

When first introduced to Diesel's sister in More than Everything a Honey Series Novella, I knew Rebel would be perfect for Rush. A fiery and feisty redhead who's compassionate, quirky, has a great sense of humor and lots of sass ~ she's a cross between Rock Chick cool and badass biker babe. A woman who feels deeply and has a heart of gold, Rebel selflessly gives all of herself to those she loves. Her connection with Rush is not only passionate but instantaneous, easygoing and virtually drama free.

This read differs from the others within the series, whose focus revolved around the couple, their courtship, and a fair share of angst. Here, the romance was entwined within the several ongoing plot-lines. I found myself both wanting more time with these endearing characters, as well as missing the relationship tension I'm used to from these gritty bikers and their women. Regardless, Free is so much more than simply Rush and Rebel's story. It was Kristen Ashley's final love letter to the Chaos brotherhood as she paved their well-deserved and overdue path to freedom.
The story flowed from various points of view including that of Rush, Rebel, Tack, Snapper, the lunatic Benito, and others who were involved in the club's decades-long problems. It was fascinating experiencing events unfold through different eyes. So many memorable moments made this read captivating and enjoyable. The brothers' hilarious banter and the sheer craziness of some lovable secondary characters had me giggling. Holding my breath during several intense, heart-pounding scenes as the villains in this saga had me utterly panicked. Feeling anxious over the Benito situation and conflicted with its outcome. And savoring the passion not only between the main characters but another couple who I ABSOLUTELY ADORED. However, the most unforgettable and heartwarming moments were those between father and son. Tack and Rush have a unique bond and the level of love, trust, respect, and loyalty they shared overwhelmed me.
Free was tremendously emotional, and there are no words to describe how remarkably KA wove each story-line together to tie every loose end into one spool of thread. A definite must-read, but know that with its beginnings rooted in Motorcycle Man, and plot-lines developing throughout each installment, this is not a standalone novel. Thrilled to see cameos from so many past loves like Knight, Raid and some of the Hot Bunch/Dream Man hotties. Additionally, fans of the Honey Series will be happy to see D, Mad, and Sixx made an OTT grand appearance ~ which added a new, unexpected and different vibe to this story.
Finally, of all the series in KA's literary world, Chaos is undoubtedly my favorite, and I am beside myself with sadness that it has ended. Hopefully, we will see these characters sometime in the future, perhaps in romances featuring Dutch and Jagger Black.

Loose Ends, Volume One (Loose Ends #1) by Kristen Ashley @KristenAshley68

A first for Kristen Ashley, and hope for more to come in the future, this anthology is a wonderful treat for both long-time fans and new readers alike. Jam packed with so much goodness, Loose Ends was the perfect combination of short stories and longer length novellas that had me excited to revisit past loves as well as eager to experience the "happily-ever-afters" of some beloved secondary characters.
No Clue ~ 5 stars
Within the pages of one of the most epic and emotionally charged romances I've ever read, At Peace, lives an extraordinary hero named Anthony Joseph Callihan. My love for Joe, as well as his woman Violet, is immeasurable. So I was thrilled beyond belief to savor more from their world. Older, but no less growly, sexy and swoon-worthy, we see a glimpse into Joe's everyday life and his ornery, chaotic brood. Not to mention the zany, off-the-wall Ryker popped in to make an unforgettable appearance, and his hilarity had me in stitches. No Clue was a sweet little story that had me falling in love with the Callihans all over again.

The Stars Aligned ~ 5++ Stars.
The Stars Aligned was the heart and soul of this anthology for me. Since first reading Heaven and Hell, and with every re-read following, my longing for Hap and Luci's story intensified. After years of hoping and obsessing, my wish has finally come true. It was A-Freaking-Mazing and definitely worth the wait.
Years after tragically losing her husband, Travis, Luciana Gordon is ready to love again. So many obstacles lie in her way, but the biggest hurdle is the man she's falling for ~ George "Hap" Cunningham. Hap's not only her dear friend but also Travis' buddy. Luci has an incredible feat before her in convincing Hap to take a chance at a relationship. Ghosts from the past and pressure from others complicate their situation even further.
All this had my emotions in a whirlwind. However, I did not doubt for one moment that Ashley would get me through this intense story, as she is the queen of second chance romances. In the end, their journey was profoundly beautiful.

I loved Luci (pun intended) as her character oozed incredible strength. As I imagined, Hap was a tough nut to crack. His stubbornness in thwarting all of Luci's charms and denying his true feelings had me all edgy, but I understood his intentions. Hap loves Gordo, considers him a brother, and anything other than a friendship with his widow would be a betrayal. But Luci's determination and courage shines through as she guides them both beyond grief and mourning. And Hap...sigh...he was incredibly sexy, loving, and sweet. He proved to be the perfect hero totally devoted to Luci as he overcomes his struggles.

I adored seeing Sam, Kia, and all of the H&H gang, especially the gruff and grumpy Skip. He truly stepped up as the voice of reason when it came to Hap and Luci's relationship by making one heck of a heartfelt speech that was amazingly touching. Also excited to see a cameo from a character in the Magdalene series which I hope will one day have his own story. All in all, The Stars Aligned was everything I ever wished for when came to this couple.

The Favor ~ 4.5 Stars
It's back to cabin 11 with the overly sexy Deacon and his woman, Cassie from the Unfinished Heroes series. I loved catching up with this couple, seeing the family they built and the tender love they share.

More Than Everything ~ 3.5 Stars
Maddox, Diesel, and Molly who debuted in The Greatest Risk (Book 3 of the Honey Series) are an unconventional trio. In all honesty, MMF romances are not my usual cup of tea, but these characters and their dynamic relationship had a way of easily earning my affections. Super kinky, all together or paired off, they were hot. However, there were times I did feel pushed out of my comfort zone. Regardless, I enjoyed this threesome as they dealt with all of their struggles. The love and support Mad, D and Mol shared were sincere, as each worked hard towards the happily ever after they most certainly deserved. A huge bonus with this novella was meeting Rebel ~ Diesel's sister and Rush's (Chaos) love interest. I LOVE IT when KA weaves in characters from different series!
Tell Me What You Want ~ 4.5 stars
A fantastical standalone so cute and sugary sweet that I truly enjoyed. I would love to see more of this couples' story.

Rock Chick Renewal ~ 5 Stars
What a wonderful short story! The dedication alone had me all sniffling and misty-eyed. Revisiting all the Rock Chicks and their Hot Bunch men was like coming home from a long journey. It had me seriously craving for a series re-read. This time, it's all about Tod and Stevie, and I relished spending time with them. A feel-good story that left me overjoyed and smiling.

Wild Like the Wind (Chaos #5) by Kristen Ashley @KristenAshley68

5 Stars

In a word this romance was phenomenal. Once again Kristen Ashley touched the heart of me with her masterful writing style and dynamic characters. This series is undoubtedly my absolute favorite as these gritty Chaos brothers and their women own a piece of me. This novel was no exception. Overwhelmed by all the feels, Wild Like the Wind was beyond amazing, and I walked away from this read tingling with excitement. Intense, wildly emotional and savagely passionate, Hound and Keely's journey both wrecked and healed me.

Following the series, I knew that this would not be an easygoing read with the heroine being Black's widow, but confident that Ashley would deliver another exceptional heart wrenching, exquisitely uplifting romance. She did not disappoint. With each turn of the page, she controlled my emotions while guiding me through this couple's complicated relationship. Their struggles, from both dealing with grief and profound feelings of hopelessness to Hound's guilt for falling desperately in love with a woman he could never claim, pulled at my heartstrings. This couple faced a slew of uphill battles that had me anxious. With a forbidden relationship, defying the code of brotherhood, dealing with hurt feelings and misunderstandings ~ the angst level in this read was palatable, but I relished every minute of it.

I adored Keely, even though it took some time to see the real 'old lady' behind the shroud of grief, and I confess she made me a bit nervous. Knowing she mourned Black for over eighteen years, was left alone with two young boys (Dutch and Jagger, the coolest little bikers that stole my heart) and seeing the extent of her anger and sorrow in Walk Through Fire, had me on edge. Keely needed to persuade me that her devotion to Hound was sincere. But seeing how she made peace with the past and opened her heart to Hound convinced me. I loved Keely's perseverance and will to find her wild again with the one man she needed - Hound.

Shepherd "Hound" Ironside blew me away and I was amazed by the depths of his love, beauty, and pain. He was so much more than the peripheral, stoic man known as Chaos' "dog on a leash." His fierce loyalty and driving need to shield those he loved was tremendously admirable. Hopelessly in love with Keely for so many years, I was overjoyed when he finally had his heart's desire.

Completely unaware of how his family cherished and respected him, it was touching to see Hound's surprise when realizing he was worthy of their affections.

And the sacrifices he made, scarring his soul to protect the club and avenge his fallen brother, he had me in awe. These were some of the reasons why I fell hard for this hero. But Hound's greatest moments, where he undeniably captured my heart, was through his relationships with Jean-Bug, Dutch, and Jagger.
I cannot begin to describe my adoration for Jean. Her character was such a positive force in Shepherd's life, she brought out his inner beauty, gentleness, and compassion. Jean was his family outside of the club and their connection was incredibly powerful. You'll need to meet Jean for yourself and fall in love with all of her awesomeness.

Hound was a constant presence in Dutch and Jagger's lives since Black's passing. The way he loved these boys, how he selflessly gave of himself and treated them as his own without overshadowing their father, made me fall deeper in love with him. He honored his brother's memory by helping Keely guide them to become the men their father dreamed they would be. They too brought out the best in Hound.

There was so much goodness in this romance to enjoy. Hound was an unbelievably sexy and swoon-worthy hero. This badass biker boy and his old lady liked it rough and dirty as they devoured each other. Seriously, their chemistry was so wildly explosive, they had me breathless, clenching my way through this read.

Wild Like the Wind was a remarkable story of second chances, hope, undying love and the bonds of brotherhood strengthening after weathering the storm. Tensions continue to escalate within the club as they gear up to face their enemies and Benito Valenzuela. Threats weigh heavily on these brothers, and I cannot wait to see it come to a head in the next and last book in the series.
